Forrest's Fire Beer recipe

Brewed 9/9/1988 Bottled 10/1/1989, Size 10 Gallons
Ingredients:
- 2 cans John Bull light malt extract
- 5 lbs honey
- ~7 oz chopped ginger root
- 4 oz cascade leaf hops (boil)
- 2 tbsp gypsum
- 2 handfulls cascade leaf hops (finish)
- 2 packs John Bull? yeast
- 1.5 cups corn sugar (bottling)
Specific Gravity Readings, 2 carboys:
- OG1 1.014 @ 74 deg F
- OG2 1.022 @ 89 deg F
- FG1 1.010 @ 74 deg F
- FG2 1.008 @ 74 deg F
Comments: Aged slowly (as with most honey beers) but was worth the wait.
